Activity Report Deputy 1st Class/ School Resource Officer Tina M. Ploof Enosburg Falls Middle/High School Franklin County Sheriff’s Office July 1, 2009 to August 24, 2009: I patrolled the Town and Village of Enosburg, Monday through Friday from 0800 hours to 1600 hours. I took 27 complaints. Those complaints consisted of: 1-Disorderly Conduct, 4-Vin Inspections, 4- Thefts, 2- Vandalisms, 3- Citizen Assists, 2- Animal Problems, 1- Assault, 1- Citizen Dispute, 3- Suspicious, 1- 911 Hang Up, 1- Bad Check, 1- Agency Assist, 1- Alarm, 1- Phone Problem, and 1- Trespassing. During this period, 11 Motor Vehicle traffic violation tickets were issued. Also during this period I attended the School Resource Officer Training in Hampton, New Hampshire from July 6th to July 10th. August 25, 2009 to Present: August 25, 2009 marked the first day of the Enosburg Falls Middle and High School school year. My school day starts at 0730 hours and ends at 1530 hours. I participate in the Community Based Learning program ( CBL ), mentoring 2 students for 1 period a day. Each student has an interest in learning about Law Enforcement and has an opportunity to talk with me and learn through my experiences and knowledge in that field. The students are given a pass/fail grade at the end of the year based on their participation in the program and the successful completion of performance based assessments. I have also attended school functions such as the Homecoming bonfire and participated in the Homecoming pep rally. I also attended the High School Open House on November 5th to meet with any parents and/or teachers. I chaperoned the Freshmen Reception on November 13th, where 4 High School Students were issued violations for consuming alcoholic beverages prior to attending the dance. I am a member of the Crisis Team, where as a member I help in planning any and all safety precautions for the school. We as a team make sure all measures are taken for the students to learn in a safe environment. I am also a member of the Admin Team. As a member of that team, I meet with other teachers and members of administration to help facilitate in maintaining an orderly learning environment for all the students. As a member of this team, I have been present at many meetings concerning the suspension and reentry of students after incidents have occurred. I have also been present at meetings for students when there is a discipline issue, and/or a harassment and/or bullying problem have occurred. I will also be attending and chaperoning the Senior class trip on May 26th and 27th. In the almost 4 months of being in the school I have taken 7 complaints. Those complaints include: 1-Juvenile Problem, 1- Drugs, 1- Vin Inspection, 1- Vandalism, 1- Alcohol Offense, 1- Citizen Dispute, and 1- Agency Assist. In 3 of these complaints, citations were issued. I have also issued 1 Motor Vehicle violation ticket to a student for riding his bicycle down the middle of the road and have issued 1 Municipal Parking ticket. I have also served 2 Subpoenas for the State’s Attorney’s Office. I have also attended trainings during this period for Crisis Management, Prescription Drug Recognition, Dare to Prepare, and CPR. Since the beginning of the school year I have built a relationship and rapport with many students and staff at the Enosburg Falls Middle and High School. I have also made numerous visits to the Enosburg Elementary school to speak with students and staff. It is my intention to continue to enhance the safety and help in providing a orderly learning environment for the students at the Enosburg Falls Middle and High School.
