SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 04-09-06 at approximately 0053 hours I observed a
vehicle traveling west on Vermont Route 105 at 79 MPH in
a 40 MPH zone. I attempted to stop the vehicle but it sped
off. The vehicle led me on a high speed pursuit through the
City of St. Albans. At one point the speed reached 95
MPH. The operator managed to avoid road spikes three
times before crashing his vehicle on Lower Newton Road.
The operator was taken into custody and charged with
DUI#3, Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Gross
Negligent Operation and Operating with a Criminally
Suspended License. He was jailed for lack of $5,000.00
bail.
