FRANKLIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE PRESS RELEASE TYPE OF INCIDENT: DUI OFFICER: Morits DATE OF INCIDENT: 04-05-06 TIME OF INCIDENT: 2309 LOCATION OF INCIDENT: St. Pierre Road, Sheldon NAME: Larock, Lynwood AGE: 41 ADDRESS: Enosburg, VT SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 04-05-06 at approximately 2309 hours, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office received a call from an anonymous male stating that a red pickup truck was parked on the side of the road on St. Pierre Road. This male said that he lived in the area and did not know the male subject that was in the truck. He went on to say that the male in the truck was acting suspicious. With the recent rash of burglaries that have been happening in the area on back roads, I responded to the area. Upon arrival I observed a male subject sitting in the driver’s position of a 1990 red Nissan pickup truck bearing a Vermont Registration. This subject was parked in a very remote area with a number of residences around. I approached the subject and asked him if everything was alright. He said that he was driving home from work and his truck started to overheat. The subject verbally identified himself as the defendant, Lynwood Larock. While speaking with his subject I could smell an odor of intoxicants coming from his breath. I also noticed that his eyes were bloodshot and watery. The subject admitted that his drivers license was suspended for a recent DUI conviction. He also stated that he had 2 beers this evening. While checking the vehicle, I noticed that the ignition key was still in the ignition and was in the on position. I also noted that there were no alcohol containers in or around the vehicle. The subject was processed for DUI and released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
