SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 03-30-06 at approximately 2130 hours, my police
cruiser was almost hit by a silver Subaru as it failed to
make the turn from VT Route 108 and Perley Road. I
attempted to stop the vehicle but it sped off heading west
on Perley Road. I chased the vehicle west on Perley Road
with speeds reaching in excess of 100 MPH. I determined
that it was too dangerous to continue this pursuit, so I
terminated it. Later that evening, I received a tip that the
operator was Eric Jette. On 04-03-06 I made contact with
Jette at his residence on the Perley Road. I immediately
recognized him as the operator of the vehicle that ran from
me on March 30, 2006. Jette was arrested and charged
with 2 counts of Gross Negligent Operation and Attempting
to Elude a Police Officer. He was jailed for lack of bail.
