FRANKLIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE PRESS RELEASE TYPE OF INCIDENT: Disturbing the Peace by Telephone OFFICER: Kachajian DATE OF INCIDENT: 03-06-06 TIME OF INCIDENT: 1142 LOCATION OF INCIDENT: Old Stage Road, Georgia, VT NAME: SWEET, Angie AGE: 26 ADDRESS: Milton, VT SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 030606 at approximately 1142 hours, Deputy Kachajian was dispatched to Old Stage Road in the Town of Georgia for a report of telephone harassment. Upon arrival on scene the complainant advised Deputy Kachajian that an acquaintance of hers by the name of Angie Sweet has been calling her on the telephone for the past 3 days threatening her and her two small children. The complainant went on to tell Deputy Kachajian that Ms. Sweet had stayed at her residence for a few days while she was having “domestic issues” with her boyfriend, but was later asked to leave when it was discovered that Ms. Sweet had allegedly stolen her wallet while they were in Burlington earlier in the month. After the complainant asked Ms. Sweet to leave the house, she allegedly began to receive non-stop calls from her threatening the wellbeing of her two children as well as herself. Ms. Sweet was later located at a residence in Milton several days after the incident was reported to the Sheriff’s Office and issued a citation to appear in court to answer to the charge of Disturbing the Peace by Use of Telephone. During the course of the investigation it was also learned that Ms. Sweet is currently on condition of release from another court case in Chittenden County. As part of her conditions, Ms. Sweet is ordered not be charged with any other crimes while her other court case is open. As a result of this information, Ms. Sweet will also be charged with Violating Conditions of Release.
