	The Franklin County Sheriff's Office owns and operates two Arctic Cat Snowmobiles that they use to patrol the VAST (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers) network of trails that appears each winter. These patrols are partially funded with funds from the VAST organization. The snowmobiles have become our most useful tool in our patrols in and around Lake Carmi as part of a contract with the Lake Carmi Camper's Association.
