	Safe Highways Accident Reduction Program
	The Franklin County Sheriff's Office operates this Federally funded program targeting agressive drivers. S.H.A.R.P. performs DUI, Speed, Occupant Protection, and Vehicle Equipment checks. Usually done in teams or groups that target specific areas such as Interstate speeders, or areas where there have been a number of crashes or complaints. Enforcment is done by either selective enforcement and/or checkpoints in those areas. A portion of the funds can also be used for education such as you see with the TV ads and billboards.
