Deputy Morits with Scout
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce the graduation of Deputy 1st Class Paul Morits and his K9 “Scout” from the Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council’s K9 Drug Detection and Tracking & Trailing Program.

This program entailed approximately 12 weeks of training for both Scout and Deputy Morits. With this certification, Scout and Morits are certified in narcotics detection and tracking and are working towards national certification with the North American Police Canine Association.

Deputy Morits and Scout are primarily assigned to the Enosburg/Richford/Montgomery area, but are available to respond, as needed, to other areas to assist deputies from this office as well as officers from other police agencies.

If you have any questions about this program, please feel free to contact Deputy Morits via voice mail at (802.524.2121).
