	Our Patch The patch of the Franklin County Sheriff's office is designed to be similar to the patches of the other Sheriff's offices of the State of Vermont. The maple leaf in the center of the patch is a reflection of the importance maple products have to the county. Franklin County is known as the "Maple Capital of the World." Each spring, the City of St Albans hosts the Maple Festival - a three-day celebration of the Maple industry.
